Our Story
The Plant Lady’s House is rooted in my childhood experiences.
Two things instantly transport me back to my childhood: the smell of coffee and the presence of houseplants. Growing up in Brazil, coffee was woven into daily life. Its aroma was always the first thing to greet us in the morning, and my mom would brew fresh pots throughout the day, filling our home with warmth and comfort.

Equally important were plants. My parents’ passion for greenery filled our home with vibrant life. I learned early on how rewarding it is to care for plants, watch them thrive, and, in return, receive fresh air, flowers, new leaves, or even a baby plant. Plants turned our house into a true home, brimming with life.
Inspired by these childhood memories, I created The Plant Lady’s House: a peaceful, elegant, and lively space where fellow plant, coffee, and tea lovers can gather. I can’t wait to welcome you, share my plants, and enjoy a cup of coffee together.
Happy planting!

Get Lost in a Secret Garden That Awaits in This Ocean Township Cafe
A coffee shop can be an escape — especially when the decor feels like a secret garden. Núbia Oliveira turned a passion for growing and collecting plants into a business with The Plant Lady's House, which opened in May in the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township.
